Zora & Noel’s Cloughan Castle Wedding
Zora and Noel brought Ireland and the United States together for their beautiful summer wedding at Cloughan Castle. With Noel from Ireland and Zora from the USA, their celebration was a wonderful meeting of two families and cultures in the heart of the Galway countryside.
The ceremony took place on the historic battlements of Cloughan Castle, giving their guests a truly memorable setting for the exchange of vows. It was an extraordinary location and one of the most distinctive ceremonies we have photographed at the venue.
As Galway wedding photographers who know Cloughan Castle well, we were able to make full use of its atmospheric interiors, peaceful grounds and beautiful castle backdrop. We aimed to document the day naturally while also creating a relaxed collection of portraits that reflected Zora and Noel’s personalities and the atmosphere of their celebration.
A Summer Ceremony on the Battlements
One of the most memorable parts of Zora and Noel’s wedding was their ceremony on the battlements of Cloughan Castle. Surrounded by the castle’s historic stonework, they exchanged vows in a setting filled with character and a wonderful sense of occasion.
With Zora’s family travelling from the United States and Noel’s family joining them from Ireland, the ceremony brought everyone together in a setting that felt both intimate and unmistakably Irish. The battlements provided an extraordinary backdrop for this very special part of their day.
Relaxed Portraits Around Cloughan Castle
After the ceremony, we spent a little time with Zora and Noel around the castle grounds. Cloughan Castle offers a wonderful variety of locations within a short walking distance, allowing us to create natural photographs and elegant portraits without taking the couple away from their guests for long.
The historic stone walls, gardens and surrounding Galway countryside provided a beautiful backdrop, while Zora and Noel’s relaxed connection made every photograph feel natural and personal.
